What is Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy?

A pelvic floor physical therapist can help promote optimal pelvic health by providing specialized care for individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction. This includes assessing, physical therapy diagnosing, and treating conditions such as but not limited to, pelvic pain, urinary or fecal incontinence, and prolapse through a combination of manual therapy, exercise, education, and more. The goal is to empower patients to take an active role in their own health and well-being, improve their quality of life, and restore function and comfort in their bodies.
